In the Archdiocese of Mobile our young people receive the sacrament of Confirmation in Grades 11
or 12. 
We do not have a high School Program of Catechesis in St. Joseph Church. To continue their
catechetical instruction, St. Joseph students in grades 9 through 12 are asked to contact our
neighboring Catholic Churches to decide the best program for their children’s continued education
to Confirmation.

St. Margaret’s Parish Foley
Religious Education in the Catholic Youth Organization (CYO).  This
program leads to Confirmation in the 11 th and 12 th Grades.

• The CYO meets together for Mass, dinner, ​and prayers but splits into two groups for their  study projects and discussions. 

• On Wednesday evenings, ALL CYO members are invited to attend Mass together at 5:30pm, followed by dinner, as one group. 

St. Bartholomew Parish, Elberta
This is a High School Program which includes Confirmation preparation, Religious Education and
Youth Group St. Bartholomew, Elberta. CCD (Confraternity of Catholic Doctrine): classes are held
during the school year on Sundays between the Masses, 9:15-10:15.
Youth Group - This school year students entering the Confirmation Preparation will be 10th
and 11th graders.
